When daily routines
need more support

Your parent may be finding parts of their daily routine harder but feel uncomfortable asking family for help. You may also be unsure how much support they need, or how to start a conversation about it.

  • Personal daily tasks have become harder to manage independently.
  • Your parent would prefer to discuss their support with a care professional.
  • The help you can provide no longer covers their day-to-day needs.
  • Their needs have changed and the current arrangement needs reviewing.

A free consultation gives you and your parent a chance to explain what is happening and discuss whether our service is suitable.

Planning personal care around your parent

Their daily routine

Tell us which parts of the day are difficult and where help is needed. The initial assessment is an opportunity to discuss specific personal tasks and agree the support required.

Their preferences

How support is provided matters as much as the task itself. We discuss your parent’s preferences and the things they want to continue doing independently.

Familiar faces

We work hard to provide care through the same team, helping your parent get to know the people supporting them. We can discuss how the team would work with your family.

Changing requirements

Personal care needs can change over time. Regular reviews provide an opportunity to discuss what is working and adjust the care to your parent’s needs.

Support with a routine
they are comfortable with

The aim is to help your parent keep their independence with a routine they are happy with. Agreeing the support together gives your family a clearer understanding of what the visits will cover and what help is needed between them.

Home Comfort Services completes a written summary after each visit, available for the client and family to comment on, and provides regular feedback.
